I am happy to report that I have spook with the billing director today and I am now receiving my long over due credit. Thank You Melissa!!! As a result, I am changing my review to 4 stars! I still would recommend asking about any possible credit and keeping an eye on your billing so you do not have to deal with Karen!!! The doctors, nurses and PT dept are excellent. Nothing but 5 stars for them. The billing department however is another story. I have very good insurance and all of my bills have been paid by insurance or myself. The problem is that no one will tell you if you have a credit and once you find out that you have a credit, the billing department will feed a line about future appointments and policies on why you cannot receive your credit. I found out nearly 3 months that I had a credit of $893.49 credit which they apparently have held for nearly a year. I have spoke with their billing dept several times and there is one certain person that has zero empathy for the patients situation. Furthermore, I was still being charged for PT session and appointments while I had this outstanding credit. It's very clear to me that there is a huge disconnect between the people taking my money before a session/appointment and the people in charge of processing my claims. How else could I build such a large credit. So now I have giving my money faithfully to LBJI and in turn they continue to hold my money.

Kirk, who works in therapy at the Chesterton location… Was absolutely amazing today!!! (As well as everybody else who worked around him. Everybody was so nice!) Kirk was very pleasant, likable, good-natured, and extremely friendly. I wish I could give him 10 stars! He was very personable, and even made me laugh a couple times, even though I was having a cast put on. I have never had so much fun getting a cast put on a broken wrist 😂! We even had fun, picking out a tie-dye cast & fun colors ☺️. I had a great experience at this location!

I had previously had a 10 year relationship with LBJI; Drs. Thompkins and Rao for multiple spine surgeries and pain management. So, when a few months ago I started having excruciating pain in my left hip area, they were who I reached out to today. After receiving a recommendation from Dr Thompkins' office for Dr Musgrave, I called for an appointment. The woman that answered said her computer was down, but she would call me right back to make an appointment, but she said she could get me in fast; Wednesday of the following week (it's Friday). She returned my call soon after, and I gave her my info. Then she asked for my insurance info. I gave her my company and member ID, then she proceeds to inform me that it would be September before I could get in. I questioned her about the openings next week, and she said, "oh, well because of your insurance, it won't be until September until he can see you. But if you self pay, you can get in next week.". I was absolutely dumbfounded by the blatant discrimination she displayed against me simply because I have MDwise/Healthy Indiana Plan health insurance. This complete lack of empathy and respect is in no way indicative of my previous experiences with LBJI. Shortly after this, I got a call back from Hannah at Dr. Colanese's office. I explained my situation and my extremely disappointing experience with my previous call, and she was very helpful and got me in for Thursday next week. Dr Musgrave's office should be ashamed of themselves. I am glad I found out up front what his staff is about and scheduled with Dr. Colanese. His office was on par with the respect, treatment and empathy I have always gotten from LBJI. Therefore I cannot recommend seeing Dr Musgrave. Steer clear; evidently there are much better choices.
